The late Mrs Margret Careless of Shutt Lane, Earlswood bequeathed a sum of money to help this community. She funded the map of the Lakes, next to Windmill Pool. One of specific wishes was to erect and fund a bench on the corner of Shutt Lane and Valley Road, opposite the Reservior Pub.

 Bench and base paid for by the late Mrs Careless.
