Public Space Protection Order

On the 19th April Stratford-upon-Avon District Council approved the Earlswood Public Space Protection Order. The Order has now been signed and sealed and will become enforceable from the 1st of May 2021 and will last for three years from this date. Read More...

Lateral Flow Test Kits

Jenny Buckley, our Covid Champion, is now in possession of a supply of Lateral Flow Test Kits which are available to those with no symptoms who can’t get to Stratford to be tested. Anyone who wants a supply of kits can get in touch with Jenny on 01564 70 3695 and she will deliver them. Please note that Lateral Flow Tests are for people who have no symptoms but would like to be sure before meeting others. If you, or if you know a neighbour, who would appreciate having their kit delivered to them then please get in touch. Meeting Cancelled 15th April

The meeting scheduled for this Thursday 15th April is cancelled due to the Period of National Mourning for the Duke of Edinburgh. It is a requirement of the Local Government Act that national days of mourning are not included in the 3 clear day notice period required for the publication of the agenda for a Parish Council Meeting. Earlswood Nisa store

The new Nisa store in Earlswood village is up and running. The owner has willingly agreed to resume the phone ordering which was so useful during lockdown earlier this year. As winter approaches and restrictions continue then this may be a valuable option for residents. It will be available on the same days as last time, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Phone orders should be made in the morning before 12.00pm. Amazingly volunteers have agreed to help out again by picking up and delivering shopping should you need this. The phone number is the same – 01564 70 2286. The shop is valuable to us, please support it if you can. The Post Office is fully functioning and there are the familiar and friendly faces of the staff still working there. If there is something not mentioned on the form which is of concern - eg fireworks being set off at all hours, then please mention this when responding. We’re making steady progress between Vicarage Hill and the Doctors surgery. The ground conditions have been difficult, and this has slowed progress slightly. Work continues to be carried out under a road closure. The businesses and the Doctors Surgery are open as usual. Please follow the signposted diversion and access these at the end of Broad lane from The Common. We thank you for your patience and understanding during these works. we are pleased to confirm the road closure on Poolhead Lane has been lifted and access to the golf club and along Vicarage Hill is available. Earlswood Anti-Social Behaviour and Traffic Issues survey

The survey was designed to gather residents’ views on incidences of anti-social behaviour and traffic-related issues which the parish council felt had been rising, particularly since the national lockdown of 23rd March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The aim of the survey was to provide the parish council with information which could inform any action that may be taken in response to these issues. Everyone just needs to know that we’re reading it and adding pertinent bits to our matrix and that we appreciate everyone’s contributions, positive or negative, as it helps us continuously fine tune and clarify the position, so keep them coming and, if we don’t respond, please accept that we’re not trying to be rude or evasive, we’re just busy. Change to Annual Audit dates

Due to the present UK situation there has been changes to the audit times. The publication date for final, audited, accounts for local councils will move from 30 September to 30 November 2020 The requirement for the public inspection period to include the first 10 working days of July has been removed. Instead, local councils must commence the public inspection period on or before the first working day of September 2020 Draft accounts must be approved by 31 August 2020 at the latest or earlier where possible.
