Incidents of a public interest from the last week:-
STUDLEY
· *Anti-Social Behaviour X 2 calls . Pool Road area, Studley. Report of a group of youngsters firing fireworks at other people and houses in the area. Aged 14 – 15 years, all wearing dark clothing / tracksuits. Last seen heading towards Eldorado Close. 9.15pm Saturday 16th October. 0388 16/10/2021
· *Burglary. St Judes Avenue, Studley. Secure garage broken into and various items stolen including two pedal cycles and tools. Grey Cube road bike and a Grey and Black Giant Fathom mountain bike. Between 7pm 11th & 7am 12th October. 0085 12/10/2021
· *Burglary. Crooks Lane, Studley. Secure garage broken into and items stolen including, White/Black/Yellow Husqvarna 125cc off road motorbike, Orange KTM250 motorbike and a Red Trek mountain bike. Between 8pm 11th & 6am 12th October. 0034 12/10/2021
· *Suspicious Circumstances. Watts Road, Studley. Dark coloured car seen acting suspiciously in the area. Drove past two young pedestrians at slow speed twice, although nothing was said or done at the time. Described as a long black vehicle, tinted windows, possibly a BMW or Audi. The driver had a grey beard. 9pm Sunday 10th October. 0425 10/10/2021
BEARLEY
· *Vehicle Damage. Car park, Snitterfield Road, Bearley. Window of car smashed. Entry not gained and nothing stolen. Between 8am and 12.15pm Thursday 14th October. 0135 14/10/2021
WOOTTON WAWEN
· *Suspicious Circumstances. Stratford Road, Wootton Wawen. White van with two male occupants seen acting suspiciously in the area. The first part of the registration number was ‘YP03’. 8.45am Thursday 14th October. 0065 14/10/2021
HOCKLEY HEATH
· *Vehicle Crime X 2. Car Park, Stratford Road, Hockley Heath. Two work vans attacked. Various tools stolen from one of the vehicles. Intel from the area suggest that a Grey Estate vehicle was seen to leave the car park at the time. 2.30am Thursday 14th October. 0022 14/10/2021
Vehicle Crime – Here are a few crime prevention tips to deter vehicle crime.
- Always lock your vehicle. Whether it’s in the garage, on the driveway of your house, unattended for a few seconds or in an isolated car park, lock it and activate any alarm system.
- Always remove valuable items from the vehicle. If this cannot be done the items must be removed from view and secured in a glove box or boot.
- Keep car keys and fobs safe in the house and protect them in a faraday pouch for example if keyless.
- Fit an alarm that will activate on movement in the vehicle. An alarm that can notify you in real time that there is a problem is extremely useful.
- Items such as tools and machinery that cannot be removed can be secured in lockers and security marked with high visibility paint etc.
- If available, park your vehicle in a location that is covered by CCTV, overlooked by houses or is in an area that is in constant use.
- Use anti-theft screws and sticky pads for number plates. If you have a plate that is stolen, replace it with one that has a different design so it is distinguishable from the stolen plate.
- Familiarise yourself with the location of your catalytic converter (if fitted), so you can park making it difficult for it be accessed. Security mark the converter and fit an anti-theft device.
- If you see or hear any suspicious activity around a car or car park, ring 101 to report straight away. Active crimes where the offenders are still at the scene can be reported on 999.

Street Safe - The force is supporting StreetSafe a new national online tool to allow people to flag places where they have felt unsafe. The system - which is primarily aimed at women and girls - allows members of the public to anonymously drop a pin onto a map and describe factors that caused them concern, including behavioural or environmental reasons why they felt unsafe. Superintendent Mike Smith, community and response policing lead for Warwickshire Police, said: “We’re pleased to support and promote this national initiative. Everyone has a right to walk the streets safely and we are committed to ensuring this happens. A key part of this is tackling violence against women. “We will use the information collected using this tool alongside other community intelligence to identify areas of concern and put measures in place to address them.”
