Incidents of a public interest from the last week:-

STUDLEY

  • *Anti-Social Behaviour X 2 calls. Alleyway, Allen Close, Studley. Report of people gathering in the alleyway and generally causing a nuisance. Possibly smoking cannabis. Ongoing situation that the SNT are monitoring. Reported Saturday 1st May. 0226 01/05/2021
  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Holt Road, Studley. Silver Vauxhall Corsa seen acting suspiciously in the area. Occupants seen to get out and walk about the road. Caller concerned regards their intentions. No offences disclosed at the time. 1.10am Saturday 1st May. 0021 01/05/2021
  • *Damage. Communal Car Park, Albert Close, Studley. Tyre on vehicle slashed. Between 27th & 28th April. 0106 28/04/2021

SPERNAL

  • *Fly Tipping. Heart of England Forest land, Spernal Lane. Two white males from a blue van seen flytipping. Carpet, firewood and black bags dumped. The registration number of the van ended in ‘VWA’. Details taken for future reference. 3pm Thursday 29th April. 0223 29/04/2021

TANWORTH

  • *Anti-Social Behaviour. Bates Lane, Tanworth. Ongoing issue of ASB on the sports ground and the area near to the scout hut. Football posts removed and damage also caused to windows at the hut. It is thought that people must be gathering there at night. Reported 1st May. 0124 01/05/2021

EARLSWOOD

  • *Incidents reported this week relating to The Lakes area / Malthouse Lane. Car parked with the occupants smoking cannabis – suspicious grey BMW parked across drive. The BMW was then also seen at a nearby stables where the driver was acting suspiciously. Details passed to police –
  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Springbrook Lane, Earlswood. Male from a dark coloured BMW seen at the Stables in the Lane asking questions about the horses. Caller concerned regards his reason for being there. The last three letters of the registration number was ‘FVS’. 6.25pm Thursday 29th April. 0307 29/04/2021

TANWORTH

  • *Suspicious Circumstances. Poolhead Lane, Tanworth. Person seen to approach house in Lane. Caller concerned regards their intentions. No offences disclosed at the time. 5.10am Sunday 25th April. 0081 27/04/2021

YARNINGALE COMMON

  • *Anti-Social Behaviour. Buttermilk Lane, Yarningale Common. Report of three off road type vehicles using the footpaths in the area as if they are Green Lanes. 12.30pm Monday 26th April. 0140 26/04/2021

Arrest made during drugs warrant operation in Alcester – An arrest was made when officers executed a drugs warrant at an address in Alcester on Wednesday 28th April 2021. Officers from the Alcester and Shipston Safer Neighbourhood teams found three plastic carrier bags containing large quantities of herbal cannabis, Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabis infused sweets. The drugs and associated paraphernalia were seized and a 25 year old man from Alcester was arrested at the scene for suspected possession of Class B drugs. He was later released under investigation. Anyone with information that could help with investigations can call 101 quoting incident 26 of 28 April or report online. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. The Alcester SNT’s continue to gather intelligence regarding the use and supply of illegal drugs in the area.
